Message from the Founder

You too can feel Evernew!

Pain isn’t the enemy - it’s communication. A call from your body, mind, or spirit asking to be heard.

At Evernew, we listen.

Our mission is simple: understand the true source of your pain, educate to help you understand it, and guide you through a personalized path to feel safe in your body again. Healing is never one-size-fits-all. It’s why we design individualized programs for long term success in injury rehab, physical dysfunctions, concussion recovery, athletic training, chronic pain management, and nervous system regulation. Rooted in sports medicine, our approach goes much much further. We blend evidence-based rehabilitation with multi-purpose modalities and trusted referrals, so your time, energy, and investment are respected.

Evernew was born from lived experience. In 2018, I sustained a traumatic brain injury and was left to navigate recovery alone, researching, piecing together care, and trying to heal while seriously injured. It was isolating and overwhelming - and I’m a healthcare professional! I learned first-hand, the complexities and limitations of the rehab experience in our traditional healthcare model. I found some relief through manual techniques, but found real inspiration and healing as I built capacity in my nervous system through unique modalities like Float Therapy, Reiki, and Meditation, and this helped cultivate resilience through the recovery journey.  Everything shifted when I understood the deep interconnectedness of the body and mind, and the power of the right support systems. That experience shaped Evernew's biopsychosocial model of care - one that addresses the physiological, psychological, and social factors that influence healing. Our approach combines manual therapy with restorative classes and powerful nervous system modalities to build true resilience, not just symptom relief.

Float therapy. Cold immersion. Breathwork. Movement variety. Strength and Conditioning. Mind-body training. Alternative therapies. Capacity-building programs typically found in major cities - now available here in the Ottawa Valley. We are not your typical rehab clinic. We are practitioners who operate from a whole-body perspective. Restoring Function, Rebuilding Regulation. Whether you’re navigating post-surgical or injury recovery, chronic pain conditions, stress overload, athletic performance improvement, or simply deep restoration, we walk alongside you and your family.

Recovery is hard enough.
You don’t have to do it alone.

It’s time to approach healing and life, differently.

Our Biopsychosocial Vision

The biopsychosocial model of care acknowledges the interactions between the biological, psychological, and social elements of illness or injury, through compassionate relationships between clinician and patient, and multifaceted programs to improve clinical outcomes. It is sometimes called “whole person care” administered by healthcare practitioners who understand and work with the interconnectedness of a patient’s BODY (genetics, physiology, and anatomy), a patient’s PSYCHOLOGY (thoughts, feelings, and nervous system), and a patient’s SOCIOLOGY (the social determinants of health such as support systems, access to care and connectedness). This healthcare approach addresses many of the gaps in our current system, by respecting the uniqueness of each person’s illness or injury, delivering care without judgement or stigma, and ensuring patients feel heard and validated in their experience.

The 3 R's

To support and create structure for our biopsychosocial vision, we have aligned our practices under 3 pillars (aka the 3 trees in our logo):

1. RECOVERY

The process of change through which individuals improve their unique health and wellness, live an empowered life and strive to reach their full potential. Our recovery services include: Float Therapy, Cold Immersion Therapy & Breathwork, Reiki, Ayurvedic Head Massage, Mindset Coaching, Counselling, Social Wellness Classes & themed Workshops.

2. REHABILITATION

Restoring a person's physical function that was lost due to injury, surgery, illness or disease with an aim to regain quality of movement and quality of life through manual therapy, exercise Rx, strength and conditioning programs, and hydrotherapy. Most of these rehabilitation therapies are covered by insurance. Please check your specific coverage.

3. RECREATION:

We love that the word itself suggests re-creating oneself. True to its definition, recreation means an activity done for pleasure or leisure, essentially a way to refresh mind and body, using fun activities such as playing sports, challenging your body or expanding your mind. At Evernew, we offer such activities through our gym and studio, with offerings to appeal to a variety of interests for body and mind. Check our current schedule and membership options.
